The Secrets of Teaching - A Memoir of a Marine

Anne Martinez was offered a job as caretaker of the property on Kaua'i, Hawaii. Her biggest responsibility was to keep the gate open at sunrise and closed by sunset. She also had to maintain a tiny chapel made of stone that is reserved for weddings and memorial services. In her first few weeks out there she learned how much work it would take to live rent-free with all utilities paid. Anne's dream came true when one of her pupils asked if he could earn some extra cash so he could buy food for his pets.
