The Wild West of C++
There's no agreement between silicon manufacturers to have a real standard for how you write a bit of code except for C++. So the fact that it's all this wild west and this is certainly not standardized means that we're sort of forced as sort of the common denominator to stick with something like C ++. There's a language that we've been using more and more that's called Jax, which sits on top of Google's XLA tool chain. It gives us this level of abstraction in the software that we write things in these sort of symbolic graph that get spit out,. so to speak, to GPU kernels or CPU code.
