Admiral Mike Gilday is the chief of naval operations and responsible for building, maintaining, and equipping the entire U.S. Navy. "We are in a good position right now if we did ever get into a fight against them," says Gilday. The most alarming thing is the growth of not only their conventional forces, but also their strategic nuclear forces, he adds.
