Why Is Trade Intensity Important to the U K?

Trade intensity is the sum total of imports and exports divided by g d p. The u k has one of the highest trade intensity levels in the old, at 63%. This means that without a free trade agreement it would be unable to compete with other countries across the eu. Trade fell from 63 % in two thousand and 19 to 55% in 20 years after bregsit. No surprise when considering the impact on travel and general business activity following pandemic.
