Is Forrest Gump Private Equity a Fake?

I think there's a lot of value in planning. I would say every plan that I've made more than three months out, more than running a single experiment has never panned out. So the way permanent equity has been built is haphazard at best. It has been a reaction to the reaction to the reacted that I couldn't have anticipated. If you asked me five years ago what we'd be doing, I would have said a smaller, less fulfilling, less exciting version of what we are today.
