The Importance of Self Compassion
Being self compassionate makes you less self centered. When you feel connected to another fellow human being in your experience instead of poor me, you're actually less self centered and give more resources to other people. There's studies that show not only does it help people cope emotionally but we think it maybe helps physically as well. We're doing some studies at Harvard on pain and we don't know the results yet so I can't share them with you just yet.
