The Inuits Have Their Own Science
The Inuits have a very long tradition of a high level of understanding of snow and weather. They can walk outside and look at the sky and say, in two days we will have north winds and lots of snowfall. And it's not just that there will be snow, they'll know what kind of snow and how it might affect their travel plans. We started studying with them because they were looking for answers to changes that they were seeing that they couldn't explain.
