The Future of Marine Power

In October 2022, the DOE announced 35 million in funding from the bipartisan infrastructure law to advance tidal and river current energy systems. In 2019, commercial-scale tidal energy costs $280 per megawatt-hour, compared to $20 for wind. By 2050, I think there will be a pretty good impact that marine energy will be playing just based on the amount of capacity we'll have online by then.
