Kosovo and Serbia in Recent Weeks
In November of 2022, Serb officials and some mayors resigned in protest of a law that Kosovo passed around licensed plates and cars. In April, there were elections to replace these mayors and Serbian parties boycotted the elections. This sparked protests in the north from ethnic Serbs who didn't want the mayors to take office. And since then tensions have just kept going up.
