Ando: I find it really irritating when somebody is claiming the mantle of the ultra rigorous, ultra mathematical approach in criticising a field like computational statistics. The replication crisis has mostly been documented by psychologists, and criticisms of over use of parametric assumptions have been discussed by statisticians for decades.
