We can put the same perfectionistic slant on our healing process that we do in other areas of our life. You really cannot rush your healing. It's about progress, not perfection, and it's not linear. Your nervous system is not necessarily going to get on board with what your expectations are for that to look like. Being realistic with yourself about your capacity is really the only way to safely start to do that.
