The original paper by Alan Turing is an extremely strange text. It's a sort of tormented, you know, there's a lot of pain in it and there're a lot of human bafflement in it. I think he's asking the wrong questions in it, really. The whole framing around intelligence and what we think the machine is thinking has caused the conversation to go down a strange side track.
