Humor Is a Bid as a Repair Technique

Even smiling can be a repair bid. Positive physical contact does not fit into that in a moment of conflict because it's too vulnerable position for people but things like, hold touching each other holding hands or giving a hug or looking each other even in the eyes are important. I talked about apologies, approval is a bid as a as a repair technique. And these bits repair don't always come like right as the argument is happening. So anything you can find that's positive. Humor is one of the more variable repair tactics for some people. It takes the complete sting out of everything.
