Caroline Norton was married to Lord Melbourne, who later became Prime Minister of the UK and advisor to Queen Victoria. She wrote several books of verse in 1829 alone titled The Sorrows of Rosalie, I Do Not Love Thee and The Cold Change. But as Caroline's literary reputation grew, so did George's anger at her. He flew into a rage at her over what seemed a mild exchange about where to sit at breakfast.
