Sananovitch: Financial independence is basically being able to live off your investment portfolio so that you don't need to work for money any more. So it's not that you cannot work, but it's just your portfolio was large enough, or if you wanted to just quit your job, you could just live off that indefinitely and be fine. And i find that kind of the big secret with fire,. because i've actually gone through it. Like, we had our fine number when i was 32. The first six months is a honeymoon phase, right? And then you're like, all right, i'm not living up to my potential," Sananovitch says.
