Black Americans have always served as agents and actors in any conflict we've had. We are taught to ignore that the majority of our founders enslaved human beings. The most powerful men in our society got their wealth and privilege from human bondage. Even though black people were one fifth of the population at the revolution even though slavery is practiced in all 13 colonies.
