The Problem Posing of Education in the Process of Revolutionary Change
In chapter three of his book, Frere argues that education does not and cannot serve the interests of the oppressor. No oppressive order could permit the oppressed to begin to question why. Only a revolutionary society can carry out this education in systematic terms. The revolution must itself be informed by the problem posing education. And that's where he is headed in chapter three.
