In aristotle as there are three kind of classes. There's the aristocrats, the best people and those who can cultivate virtue. And ta middle group, the vulgar craftsmen. The purposes aristotle identifies with them is pursuit of money and status. So in aristotle's system, to get virtue, you need leisure, and you also need to be the right kind of person.
