The author's brother when he was a kid he put off some big school assignment that he had and and the assignment was to chronicle lots of birds. Andy Lamott: "There's nothing worse to a writer than having an idea and knowing you had it but not being able to remember what it was" He says people in conventional business don't even their tools that aren't even on their radar because they don't see the problem solving process as fundamentally a creative task. The story of the title is one of my favorite books on writing Bird by Bird written by Andy Lamott.
