I like to teach students about the, I'm forgetting their journal, public interest of these. Just because I feel like it's really helpful for kind of seeing how left-right lines get drawn. When Ronald Reagan was doing radio slots in the 1970s, he often picked up on this rhetoric. Many of these folks still continue to think of themselves as being on the left throughout their lives.
