The Importance of Sameness in Friendship
In short for Aristotle, friendship is rooted in equality. It would never seek that by the way, by crushing natural differences. But otherwise, it's rooted in sameness and it seeks sameness to the extent reasonable. In a great line of Aristotle, St. Thomas loves to quote in very important theological context, friends have the same likes and dislikes. Friends live in concorde.
