Saudi Arabia's Relationship With Syria and the Assad Regime
Saudi Arabia and Syria don't want to be like on opposite sides of the Syrian civil war any longer. That's one potential opportunity of conflict between Iran and Saudi Arabia that they could take off the table if Saudi Arabia normalizes relations with Assad. The Arabs are trying to come up with a group ask a common agenda that they can present to Assad in order to raise their leverage. America should join with Saudi Arabia. It should be sitting at the table.
