Henry IV and the Edict of Naut
Henry IV becomes king in 1589. He is responsible for the signing of this document called the Edict of Naut. It's basically a peace treaty between the Roman Catholics and the Protestants. In 1610, 21 years later, Henry IV is assassinated by a fanatic Catholic. And what happens is that the fighting starts all over again. Louis XIII brought up by not his dad, but by his mother,. Marie of the Medici, who is a fervent Catholic.
