Sally Kohn: To the extent that universal basic income policies can contribute to inflation, is there an argument there for progressive fiscal policy focusing on funding universal basic services? She says it's still somewhat an impurely open question how much defense spending is contributing to the current inflation. Kohn: If we want to think about what a left-wing anti-inflation strategy would look like, I think controlling costs in health care by limiting the profits of health care and pharmaceutical providers would have a noticeable impact on the CPI.
