Ibn Batuta was a very different man than when we kicked off our series in episode 1. He had with him friends and companions, servants, slaves and concubines. His goal was to reach the capital of the Sultanate of Delhi and offer his services as a kadi or judge. The Tughluq dynasty came to power in a bloody and vicious coup.
