A lot of what passes for human reasoning is not in the realm of true functional like Turing tested propositions. The point here is not actually vindicating an argument, it's winning a fight or just like dominating someone or not. We don't have to maintain a kind of emotional homeostasis where we think about ourselves as being the person who broke and took responsibility for that broken thing.
