Blood Transfusions - The Case for a Death by Death
In France, a ban on blood transfusions has been in place since the 1970s. The move was part of an effort to prevent people from being turned into chimeras or cannibals by doctors who thought they could treat mania and other mental illnesses with animal blood. Some believed that eating meat would more likely give way to cannibalism than receiving blood from animals.
