Fermat's last theorem was unproofed for 350 years. Andrew Wiles announced a mathematician from Princeton University announced the proof in 1994. A year later a gap was found so this is exactly what we were talking about earlier you have 99% of the proof this one little thing does not quite connect and this nullifies the whole thing even though well you could say there's some interesting ideas but it's not the same as actually having a proof. What he proved actually was not Fermat's conjecture itself but a certain statement which is called Shimura Tanyama very conjecture named after three mathematicians.
