Is Mitt Romney on the Left?

The republican party is absolutely moved to the left. That's not even a question. And so they're just speaking to their own echo chambers, because i've never heard a conservative or moderate person say anything along those lines. I can't hear another analysis, completely lacking in self awareness, from some lefty about how being on the left is just the normal default position and everyone to the right of them is far right. It's completely ridiculous.
