Spiritual experience is incoded in our genes, and i agree with that. Even people who say they're atheists or they don't believe have a need for it. How do we achieve this state? That's the fundamental unanswered question of our age. The evidence is incontrovertible - hallucinogenic substances add an experiential element to religious belief but we don't know what. If you go to a rave, even if you don't take any substances, your music and the dance can produce an experience that lifts you outside of yourself. An intense aesthetic experience can do that. Andso this is what i'm getting at here. It seems highly probable to me.
