The Importance of Diversity in Holt and Diaz
I think this show has always done a good job of letting everybody exist in the world as who they are without it having to be a hammer on anyone's head, like with Holt and Raymond over the years. The most interesting characteristic about Holt is not that he's gay or black or, you know, like they're really complex and vivid characters that have been drawn. We just sort of, he had a totally different comedy game and that was just a fact of life. And sometimes he talked about his husband the way a character would sometimes talk about their wife but they want stories.
