Technology, debt and globalization kind of caused all that stuff to get removed from the front burner in people's minds. And so with that comfort, there was a stepping back. The other which has worked against it is many of the leading educational, certainly the private universities, have become corporations. They have a different metric for what's important. That makes sense to me, if i could offer my own speculation.
