The Story of Angela and David
After being on the run for two months, Angela Davis was finally arrested in New York. She had no intention of leaving but wrote a statement to the press as a diversion and said that she was out of the country,. But would return once things had been cleared up. The police tried to make her life in jail as complicated as possible. They wouldn't let her have toilet paper in courtroom which she would be in in court. Her old friend Margaret Burnham agreed without hesitation to help her with her case.
