How to Be a Better Photographer
Before a shoot, I kind of let myself get really calm and leave that timeless at home. And then on the shoot itself, you know, for most of my shoots, ideally I would use a combination of ambiance and flash. The light modifiers I most like using are octoboxes and increasingly now umbrellas. When I'm shooting, I'll shoot tethered, which I was really resistant to for many years because it's incredibly exposing - there's just no escaping it. But actually what that has forced me to do is become a better photographer as I don't start shooting until I have 100% got it.
