Is There a Butt?
There's more than one way to make a butt, yes. But without fossils, how could we possibly know? Scientists look at simple animals that still have that balloon body and look for clues of the beginnings of an anus. A scientis in catherine's article called this sometimes bu which is a prase that really stuck out to me. It's on something called a comb jelly, and it simply vanishes when it's done pooping. Its existence is an interesting angle to the whole anal debate.
