Yaber minde: James Joyce was very meticulous in his writing. He wasn't churning out any old dril and claiming it was great. The structure of ulysses is loosely based on homer's odyssey. And so he's putting parallels into 19 o four dublin from ancient greek myths. It's worth knowing he's writing all this from paris, pola, tresta oriand moving around the continent.
