Introduction
The union power ministry introduced the electricity amendment bill 20 22 in loksaba on august eighth. The pam minister said at the stage of introduction that the bill could be moved to the energy standing committee of parliament for broader consultations. There are also concerns that the bill may lead to the end of subsidies for farmers and poor consumers. And joining us to day is doctor suda mahalingham, an energy economist and scholar who was also a member of the national security advisory board to advise pramissomanmonsing on energy issues.
