What Was the Reaction Like Locally or Regionally?

I think if this story would have what happened with me and my mother you know at our house and my little town of Willerney in 1982 I think if this happened today the news would be all over it. We had two wood stoves that heat that's how we heated our house  we were old school and we just burned wood to heat the house so we took two of the shovels from the wood stove fireplaces and we went out and scoop those up and we put them on a plate.
