Hemingway's war heroes or let's say his war characters protagonists are fighting in another country and so this is an American fighting abroad just like Frederick Henry and so many more Nick Adams. The Italian language comes in that kind of blow up at the end about the Italian languageYes and that's where Hemingway the master artist is really appearing because he captures something that I think everybody who's traveled to another country knows for me it actually happens to be Italy was the place where I was first living and trying to speak Italian to other people.
