Pink Floyd - The Tea Set

Pink Floyd started out as an R&B band. Bob Close was the only one of them who could really play the blues. They had to find a different style after he left. Sid Barrett turned out to be a wonderfully eccentric songwriter. Their new sound combined his strange whimsical songs about gnomes and gingerbread men with Extended instrumental explorations which they started doing live so they could play longer sets without repeating songs.
