There's so much there I guess I want to start by thinking about something you mentioned earlier, which is this kind of continuity. So if we think of for instance Bulgaria or Yugoslavia, I mean the Bulgarian state went as far as massive assimilation of its Muslim population under a revival process. And my point is to suggest that the socialist state did not make an attempt to let's say decolonize from these processes or engage in some emancipatory process through which these wrongs would be divided on the contrary,. they deepened those inequalities.
