Is There a Difference Between Equality and Diversity?

Equality is such a slippery concept that means something different to everybody. That 's almost no kind of equality that can ever be permanently achieved. The presence of the goal empowers bureaucrats to do arbitrary and oppressive things in the name of a nice sounding word. So i find equality and diversity to be completely incompatible concepts, yet they are both central to what the progressive champions to day.
