Lucy's Life in the TV Show
Lucy was able to turn her life into comedy, which I think was something that we that I certainly appreciated and thought was a cool way to make your own heartache into art. So when she was a kid, she lived in upstate New York and would run away to New York City and try to make it on Broadway. But she kept failing in New York and she just didn't make it. And then she went out to LA and kept failing out there and then finally made it a little bit and then failed again.
