Game Design - By the End - Book System

The book system is one of my favorite elements of the game, to be able to back out and essentially get caught up on some info. 98-ish percent ballpark of the art in the game was created by two artists. I actually took a physical book and mocked up how the journal would work as a physical object folding and unfolding. The mechanisms by which the journal especially work are very complicated.
