CHAPTER

Is Paxos Really a Distributed Consensus Solution?

Paxos is an algorithm for solving the problem of distributed consensus. It was proposed by Turing Award winner Leslie Lamport in a paper titled part time parliament. Would you comment on it and maybe frame how this sort of umbrella of no sequel solutions relate to distributed solutions?
