We have a tendency to recognize the power of cognitive biases in other people, but be blind to their influence on our own belief. Even when you tell subjects about the confirmation bias, they become very adept at seeing how it works in other people. It's almost impossible to see it in yourself. I mean, with all of this stacked against us, do we stand a friggin' chance of ever seeing anything as it is? I think so.
