What's the Difference Between Black People and Non White People?
I like to think about in broader terms what it means to be a non white person in this country or to not fully benefit from white supremacy, because that's ultimately what this is all about. So many Asian Americans don't want to associate ourselves with other people of color and buy into the model minority myth. But we cannot deny that there is something shared about being on the receiving end of white supremacy and fear of people of color. And I think when we start there and talk about it much more broader than it becomes about our collective effort to fight white supremacy versus this coming together to build a collective identity around ethnicity,. That's not what we are about.
