The Importance of Intentionality in Invasion Games
When we're looking at a team sport and an invasion sport in particular you're looking at like complex adaptive systems. In most invasion games you need to get behind a number of opposition players to be able to then score a goal or get close enough to the goal. You can play around the opposition you can play through the opposition lines or you can play over the opposition. What is key for me is that these are intentions they're skilled intentions that shape intentionality in the game so I would say in Barcelona you're value directed players towards to adopt wide spaces and recognize the width of the pitch.
