Ralph L. Sacco was only a first-year medical student when he started working with the Framingham dataset. He wrote his first paper in stroke from 42 years ago titled Survival and Recurrence Following Stroke. At that point, the Framingham study had already given the cardiovascular world some of its most memorable eureka moments.
