The Importance of Theme in Short Form Storytelling
In an ideal world, both of those things are theme, right? The plot, the characters lead you to the same place in terms of theme. I think that short form storytelling lends itself like film lends itself to you're able to hold them both at the same time as you set out on the journey. In order for the plot to wrap up neatly and the theme to resolve neatly, like the show is pitting the theme against the characters because they can't both have a satisfying ending.
